Education and Experience:
Lynne began her work in children’s ministries
by overseeing the 3 year olds during an
evening VBS in 1993. She coordinated the
nursery volunteers for many years, seeing
the first paid Sunday morning childcare
coordinator and Nursery/Toddler coordinator
put in place. Lynne directed VBS for 5 years
and has volunteered on Sunday morning,
beginning in 1999, teaching many different
age levels. Her favorite role today is to step
in the classroom for any age level and teach
them how much Jesus loves them. Before
accepting the role of Children’s Ministries
Director as a staff position in ( )
Lynne volunteered in that capacity for 5 years. Children remain her passion, even though you will see her step in
to help in the youth ministry to be with her
daughters or in other mission opportunities to
serve with her husband, Rick.
Responsibilities Include:
· Children’s Sunday morning programming
· Oversee ministry leaders in children’s
music programming, JAM, VBS, Upward
and other pathway programming
· Liaison to the Faith Community Preschool
· Oversee teams for special family events

Emily Dawson
Children's Ministry Assistant

Family: Husband and two children
Education and Experience:
Emily began volunteering with Faith’s
Children’s ministries in 2005 by leading the
Angelfish choir and helping out with VBS each
summer since then. She has also worked in a
Parent’s Day Out program at another church
for 4 years. Prior to moving to the Cincinnati
area, Emily sang in a women’s choir and
volunteered with the VBS program at her
former church for 7 years.
Emily has a Bachelor’s degree in Early
Elementary Education and a Master’s degree
in Library and Information Science, both from
the University of Kentucky. She taught 1st and
2nd grades and was an elementary school
librarian for several years before staying at
home to care for her children.
Responsibilities Include:
· Assist with Children’s Sunday morning
programming
· Assist with children’s music programming,
JAM, VBS, Upward and other pathway
programming
· Assist Director of Children’s Ministries

Caleb Henry
Director of Student Ministries

Family: Wife Rachel
Education and Experience:
Before coming to Faith Community, Caleb
served churches as a student minister in
Indiana, Ohio and New Jersey. He is a
graduate from Anderson University with a BA in
Christian Ministries (2007), and from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity (2010).
Here at Faith, Caleb enjoys hanging out with
young people and helping them grow in their
faith so that they will be prepared to carry out
the demands of the gospel in their homes,
schools, community and world.
Responsibilities Include:
· Weekly youth meetings
· Sunday School and Confirmation classes
· Trips, retreats, and special events
· Student fundraising
· Mission-focused events for youth

Kimberly Hanrahan
Nursery / Toddler Coordinator

Family: Husband, Steve, Son Zachary, Daughter Abigail
Education and Experience:
Prior to taking the Nursery/Toddler position,
Kimberly volunteers in many areas, greeter
for Sunday school Mother Daughter Tea,
Father Daughter Dance, VBS Crafts.
Responsibilities Include:
- Child Scheduling volunteers for the
nursery and toddler rooms
- Preparing the curriculum
for the toddlerer class
- Working in nursery or toddler room as
needed.

Melissa Barford
Sunday Morning Childcare / Nursery

Attended FCUMC: Since 1996
Family: Son Joseph (8 years), Parents:
Jean and Brian Barford, Sister:Jennifer
Barford
Education and Experience:
Melissa has been volunteering in the
Faith food pantry since early 2010. She
also helps with JAM 1st and 2nd grade
group. Each summer she helps with
VBS as a crew leader and also on the
decorating leam.
Melissa is working on her associates of
Science and hopes to graduate in 2011.
She currently works at Cincinnati Children
Hospital as a Patient Care Assistant at
the Liberty Campus Clinics.
Responsibilities Include:
· Caring for children from 8:15 adult
Sunday school
· Caring for children ages 3months-
2 ½ years at both 9:30am and
11:00am services
· Keeping the nursery clean and
straightened.
