SUNDAY MORNING OPPORTUNITIES

Faith Community staff and many volunteers joyfully lead our Sunday morning
Children’s Ministries. If you love children, there are many great opportunities
to serve!
Children’s Church Greeter
· Greet families as they come into the education wing. 
· Help with name tags and finding the correct classroom
· Remain to do specific tasks (attendance, collect offering) throughout the
service
· Once a month commitment
Nursery/Toddler Volunteer
· Help in the nursery or toddler room on a set rotation
· Can choose to be on a list to be called for additional church events such
as daytime Bible studies, choir practices, holidays, or other special events
· Help with cleaning on a set rotation
Spiritual Growth Facilitator
· Through activities, build community in the classroom
· Teach the lesson for the day
· Work with a team partner(s) to teach monthly, or on an every other week
basis
· Materials provided
Substitute Teachers
· Step in as needed to teach Pre-K classes or aid in small group activities
with K-6th grade
· Materials provided
Extra Hands in the Classrooms
· Help assist the Spiritual Growth Facilitator in classroom of chosen age group
(Pre-K
- 6th grade)
· No preparation required - Just a willingness to serve and love children
Logistics Team - Children’s Church & “The Ride”
· Set up The Ride worship spaces in the community room
· Guidelines provided
· Once a month commitment requested at either service 


THE RIDE


The Ride is the Sunday morning children’s program for ages 3-1/2 years
through 6th grade offered at 9:30 and 11:00 am. The K-2nd and 3rd-6th
format includes worship, large and small group teaching, prayer, offering
and fun activities.

Opportunities to serve The Ride include:

Worship Team for The Ride
· Meet on a monthly basis to plan large
group time
· Possible involvement on Sunday morning stage during the large group
time
Large Group Facilitators for The Ride
· Perform teaching piece on the stage
· Consistent commitment required - Every other month, once a month,
or every other week
· All materials provided
Small Group Facilitators for The Ride
· Facilitate an age-level small group after large group teaching is
finished
· Consistent commitment required - Every other week, every other
month, or full-time
· All materials provided
Assimilation Team for The Ride
· Plan weekly stations - Consistent from week to week
· Organize supplies for these stations

BEHIND THE SCENES HELP

The vision of Faith Community’s Children’s Ministry is to have our children
Know and Show the Love of Jesus. Here are some ways you can help
support this vision:
Curriculum Team
· Supplement the preschool curriculum as materials come available
· Copy curriculum materials monthly and place in folders for Spiritual
Growth Facilitators
· Help with selection and copying of activity pages for preschool -
2nd grade
Children’s and Family Events Team
· Coordinate any of the different events with the Team leader
throughout the year:
· Father/Daughter Valentine Dance (February)
· Mother/Daughter Tea (May)
· Mother/Son and Father/Son annual events
· Family Events (Red’s game, movie nights, etc.)
Craft Supply Buyer
· Purchase the needed supplies for the closet and specific crafts
· Shopping list provided by the Craft Coordinator
Craft Coordinator / Team
· Select crafts for Sunday mornings
· Prepare and coordinate the preparation of the crafts
· Straighten the craft/supply closet
· Coordinate with supply buyer on needed supplies
At Home Opportunities
· Craft preparation - One-month commitment with supplies
provided
· Volunteer Coordination - Work with Sunday morning director
to identify need and list to call
· Send birthday cards to children


We are excited about all the opportunities that are available
for our families at Faith. We can’t do it without the help of
faithful servant hands.  With the many types of opportunities
that we offer, there is a place for you to plug in with the
special gifts that God has given to each of you.   Anyone
who feels a call to serve in children’s ministries has a place
