FCUMC Youth makes it a priority to be active in mission.
We do this in several ways but some of the more
specific ones include mission trips and service projects.
These are offered throughout the year, with some
lasting only a day and others lasting a whole week.
30 Hour Famine
The 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement to fight hunger and poverty. Faith Community’s youth go without food (drinks and juices are allowed) for 30 hours to raise money and awareness for world hunger.
Faith Community’s youth will hold their 2012 30 Hour Famine on April 27 – 28. In addition, Faith’s famine event will include a Prayer Retreat. Please consider sponsoring Faith’s youth as they go without food for 30 hours to raise money and awareness for world hunger.

Youth Sunday
On Sunday, May 20, Faith’s youth will have their annual Youth Sunday for the 9:30 and 11:00 contemporary worship services in the Christian Living Center (CLC). Student teams will plan the music, drama, speaking and audio/visual elements of this special worship service.
Youth Tailgate Mission Fundraiser
In the fall and spring, Faith’s youth sponsor tailgates outside the church on Sunday mornings. Youth and youth leaders help grill and prepare food, and Faith’s members and friends stop by after church to enjoy a delicious lunch • All money raised from the tailgates helps support the youth summer mission trips.
Upcoming tailgate dates: Sunday, June 10
