All are invited to join the Men of Faith for their annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 24 at 7 pm in the Sanctuary. The music theme is “The Cross,” and there will be songs long dear to the Men of Faith, as well as songs prepared specifically for this concert. Quartets, instrumentalist, and voice solos will be performed in addition to skits by our Acts of Faith Drama Team. All to the glory of God and in worship of Him!
Our next Town Hall meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. At this meeting we will provide an update on finances, give an overview of our strategic planning process, and Pastor Tim will present highlights from the upcoming Annual Conference in early June. Afterwards there will be time for questions and answers.
We are excited to announce that we are starting a new College Connection ministry! This will be for high school graduates entering college in the fall as well as those who are in college currently or have recently graduated. All are invited to our first College Connection Gathering at Faith Community on Friday, June 2 at 7 pm. There will be food, fellowship and conversation. We ask that you bring an appetite, a Love of God and a willingness to share your experiences of college and post-college life. Sunday morning programming looks a little different in the summer! We like to give our teachers who devote their school year the summer off and let those of you that may not be able to volunteer during the school year a chance to help out in the summer. This summer we will have programming for kids in preschool through going into second grade at the 9:30 hour only. If you are interested in teaching one (or more) weeks, here is the link to the SignUp Genius. This will be one combined class and all materials will be provided.
The next PrimeTimers event is going to be a really fun one! Join the group on Friday, June 16 at a matinee performance of Sister Act at La Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro. We will meet at the church at 9:45 am to carpool. The cost of $40 per person includes the show and the buffet lunch. And we have some of the best seats in the house reserved for us! We will be holding a New Member Class on Sunday, October 1 in the Community Room. You will meet others and learn about United Methodism, Faith Community, membership, and how you can get involved in the church. We will have lunch at 12:15 for the families and then the class will start right after that and will end by 3:00 pm. Childcare will be provided. Those attending the class will be received into membership on October 8 in both services.
