What to Expect

Many people gained insight and information during our wonderful Teepa Snow webinar last fall at church and in our GEMS classes offered this past winter.  We are excited to announce another live webinar on August 31. Teepa is a world-renowned leader in providing support to those caring for and those with dementia.  She has over 40 years’ experience in working with brain neuro-degenerative issues. (For more information, see Teepa's biography below)

More people are currently caring for loved ones, in a nursing home or at home, during these difficult times. How do we provide loving care during a pandemic? This webinar highlights different person-centered working practices and routines to optimize the well-being of the elderly with safety in mind for everyone. It will teach us how to avoid potentially irreparable harm to individuals and their relationships with loved ones, in these days of social distancing and facility shut down. This webinar provides practical and realistic strategies and techniques to reduce risk and provide quality care for people living with dementia. Some of the topics that will be covered in this webinar include:

  • How to follow different person-centered working practices and routines to optimize the well-being of the elderly with safety in mind for everyone
  • How to avoid potentially irreparable harm to individuals and their relationships with loved ones, in these days of social distancing and facility shut down
  • Practical and realistic strategies and techniques to reduce risk and provide quality care for people living with dementia

During the last 15 minutes of the webinar, there will be time for Q&A. You will be able to ask Teepa questions during the live webinar, but if possible, please submit your questions in advance through the online registration form. This will help Teepa be better prepared to address your concerns.
