Community Easter Party
Leader: Lara Williams |
Time: 1pm – 3pm
This year we are excited to again host our community Easter Egg-stravaganza on Saturday, April 1 from 1 - 3 pm. This fun-filled party is a great opportunity for Faith Community to welcome our nearby community in and to Make Jesus Known. Gather your children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends to enjoy this egg-ceptional event. Mark your calendars now!
What to Expect?
Lots of fun! There will be crafts, pictures with the Easter bunny, games, an inflatable obstacle course and, of course, an Easter egg hunt!
Interested in Helping?
We invite all of Faith Community UMC to participate in this great day of community outreach. Volunteers are needed to be a welcoming and friendly face as we greet our local community. And willing hands are needed to make crafts with local children and to turn smiling faces into “bunnies” in our face painting area. Each of us can help to make this event a positive and loving time for our neighbors. Questions? Contact Lara at . If you would like to serve, please click the icon below to sign up!

Caregivers Support Group
First Monday of the month, 2pm - 3:30pm
Caregivers Support Group
Leader: Ann Copeland |
Are you a caregiver? If you help care for another adult, whether or not that person lives in your home, in a nursing home, or in their own home, you are a caregiver. You are a caregiver whether you devote as much as 24 hours per day or as little as 5 minutes a week to someone you care for.
Caregiving is stressful. Caregivers are more likely than their non-caregiving peers to be a risk for depression, heart disease, high blood pressure and other chronic illnesses. You are particularly at risk for caregiver burnout -- a state of mental and physical exhaustion brought on by the physical, emotional and financial stresses of providing ongoing care, usually over a long period of time. Caregiver burnout is the most cited reason for caregivers placing a loved one in a nursing home.
Caregiving for a loved one can leave you frustrated and angry at times. That’s normal -- but you don’t have to go through it alone. Research shows that having support is one of the best, most effective ways of reducing caregiver stress and frustration. A caregiver support group can be a lifeline, providing a place to share feelings, make new friends, get help navigating the health care system, and learn from and lean on others who are walking a similar path.
Please join us for our monthly Caregivers Support Group that meets on the 1st Monday of every month, from 2-3:30 pm in the Parlor.

The group will be led by Ann Rogers, and everyone is also invited to stay for dinner afterwards at Stepping Forward. Please join us for this opportunity to find comfort, hope and healing. We welcome everyone to join us weekly for Tuesday evening dinners beginning at 6:00 pm in our Christian Living Center. You will be able to visit with old acquaintances, meet new friends, and get to know our friendly volunteers. Dinners will also feature live, Christian music on our stage from Faith Community musicians as well as musicians from our partner churches.
Our Faith Community Food Pantry will still be open Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 7:00 pm for qualified families living in Butler County.
