Family Promise

Monday, June 17, 2024 - Friday, June 21, 2024

Family Promise

Leader: Kim Hollon |

Four times a year, Faith Community opens our doors to share the love of Jesus with the families of Butler County Family Promise. During our host week, Faith Community provides temporary housing for local families who are going through transitional homelessness. Unlike many other homeless shelter programs, Family Promise allows the entire family to stay together during this difficult time.

Opportunities to Serve

We will be hosting families the week of June 17 - 21. Friendly, servant-hearted people are needed to help set up bedrooms, provide warm meals for 10-15 people, spend time in fellowship with families each evening, stay overnight at the church each night, and then reset rooms at the end of the week for Sunday worship. If you are available and willing, we would love to have you join our Family Promise team!  Please click below to sign up.

Donate Food for the Families

In addition to providing dinner for the families, we also offer breakfast food for the mornings and food for them to make lunches to take to school or the day center. Check back soon for an online sign-up for donations!

Meijer Simply Give Program For Food Pantry

Saturday, June 29

Meijer Simply Give Program For Food Pantry

Time: 6am – 11:59am

Earn FREE Donations for Faith’s Food Pantry - Now Through June 29

Thanks to support from the local Meijer store on Tylersville Road, Faith Community’s Food Pantry will be the recipient of grocery gift card donations from now through June 29 as part of Meijer’s Simply Give program.

How does it work?

You can grab a card located in the Narthex or Lobby, take it to Meijer on Tylersville, scan it at checkout, and pay. Meijer also has these cards, just make sure to grab the pantry cards that say "GIVE" on them (not the regular gift cards). Meijer will match the donation (to raise it to $20) and convert the donation cards into gift cards that Faith Community can use to select grocery items and baby care products for our Food Pantry. Make sure these cards say "give" at the top.

Thank you in advance for partnering with Meijer to support our pantry and please encourage your family and friends to buy donation cards.

Caregivers Support Group

First Monday of the month, 2pm - 3:30pm

Caregivers Support Group

Are you a caregiver? If you help care for another adult, whether or not that person lives in your home, in a nursing home, or in their own home, you are a caregiver. You are a caregiver whether you devote as much as 24 hours per day or as little as 5 minutes a week to someone you care for.

Caregiving is stressful. Caregivers are more likely than their non-caregiving peers to be a risk for depression, heart disease, high blood pressure and other chronic illnesses. You are particularly at risk for caregiver burnout -- a state of mental and physical exhaustion brought on by the physical, emotional and financial stresses of providing ongoing care, usually over a long period of time. Caregiver burnout is the most cited reason for caregivers placing a loved one in a nursing home.

Caregiving for a loved one can leave you frustrated and angry at times. That’s normal -- but you don’t have to go through it alone. Research shows that having support is one of the best, most effective ways of reducing caregiver stress and frustration. A caregiver support group can be a lifeline, providing a place to share feelings, make new friends, get help navigating the health care system, and learn from and lean on others who are walking a similar path.

Please join us for our monthly Caregivers Support Group that meets on the 1st Monday of every month, from 2-3:30 pm in Room 202.

For questions, please contact Barbara Wentz at 513-382-6781or  or Lorrie Lin at 513-284-9417 or
