Understanding Your Options

Leader: Beth McHenry

Room: Parlor
Dates: September 18 - November 13
Time: 5:30-7:00 pm

Description: It's not too soon or too late to begin to understand your options as you age! Whether you are in your 40’s, 50's or already retired understanding how to plan for retirement, and the issues that come with aging need careful planning and you WILL want to understand your options. Each week we'll welcome a seasoned expert to come speak to us about:

  • The ABC's of Medicare- What are the costs? What does it cover? When should I sign up? Can I defer it?
  • Funeral Planning- What kind of service do I want? What are the costs? Who should I call if my loved one suddenly dies at home? Burial/Cremation?
  • Estate Planning- Do I need a will? What list should I compile to leave my loved ones?
  • Nursing Home and at Home options- What are the costs of nursing care? What happens when I run out of money? What is an at-home alternative?

A little forethought now about how you would like things to go once you're incapacitated or gone can give you great peace of mind now, as well as spare your loved ones additional grief. At the end of our last session, you'll have a checklist you can use to gather important papers and put in the same, safe place now to make it easier for your loved ones later.

Email Beth McHenry if you intend to come or want more info!
