Every Wednesday, 2pm - 3pm
Tai Chi Class
Leader: Ann Copeland |
Tai Chi was developed over 3000 years ago as a comprehensive system for well-being on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual. It uses breathing, exercise and meditation to improve health and balance. Tai Chi exercises combine balance, coordination and breathing with harmonious soft, slow flowing movements that renew and invigorate the body, mind and spirit. Tai Chi has been shown to:
• Increase flexibility, muscle strength, tone and balance
• Increase energy
• Improve cardio/respiratory health
• Reduce back/neck pain
• Improve sleep
• Decrease anxiety
• Reduce stress.
Every Wednesday, beginning October 16, at 2:00 pm we will have a Tai Chi class in the CLC. Cost is $5. This class is for those who are beginners as well as those who have practiced Tai Chi for many years. Tai Chi can also be done sitting in a chair. Please dress comfortably. The class will be led by Dr. Larry Bobbert, who has 50 years' experience in helping people improve their health by performing Tai Chi.
